for the first official DEFINING FAY SCREENING.

Any ideas, folks? We need it good and cheap, can’t do only one and not the other. It’s too good a film to show it on a rubbish screen and too low budget for us to be hiring BAFTA or Odeon. :-) Any suggestions appreciated muchly! Happy Friday, all!

Very clever. It makes you think, then makes you think again! Fantastic sound/music and great CGI. An excellent short film! Love the shot of the boat on the lake. Brilliant job.  -  Chanttal F.

It’s beautiful! Tender, spooky, atmospheric, subversive. Every shot is so lush; the story so engaging. Congratulations, hope to see it on screens all over the world!  -  Annette V.

Wow! I loved it, and didn’t guess the end. I really loved the tracking camera between the 3 of them - great work. … I intend to watch it again tomorrow. Here’s to weird dreams tonight!  -  Tim A.

LOOOOOVED it, good script and solid acting. Now I want the next episode. And the back story. And when are the villains going to be stopped?  -  Sophie T.

It is a ‘terrifying’ great film… DEFINING FAY scores at ease 500 km on my personal movie index which indicates the distance I would travel to see a film in ‘a cinema near me’. But of course I hope this film will travel further, around the world and around and around…and back.  -  Coen V. V.

One of the best shorts I’ve seen in a long time. Production value was great. Well directed and shot. Good acting. Nice work! The story was good. I love the open - it makes you think we’re going in one direction and then you make a hard right turn.  -  Jason S.

Wonderful, eerie, provocative…. Great work. What a great premise… fine actors - especially the leads.  -  Jayne J.

Love this! Great music, acting and the look is fab…  -  David G.

It is amazing! So forceful! I liked id it very much! The special effects are excellent… I particularly love the opposition between the gentle music and the ferocity of the scenes! …  I am blown away by the political force of the message. In one word: AMAZING!  -  Francis W.

DEFINING FAY: graphics TESTS for one of the computer monitors that appear in the film. (by the oh-so-talented Jason Scrimshaw)
This phase of post-production can easily be called the QUIET BEFORE THE STORM. After a couple of weeks of battling some minor but irritating technical glitches (AND WINNING; phew!) and juggling the conform, the grading, the CGI work, the sound-mixing work, we are in a bit of a STRANGE PLACE. The film is nearly finished, it is looking more GORGEOUS than ever, but it isn’t quite ready, yet. Not ready to show. The GOOD NEWS is that with each new step the whole team appreciates all over again just how much it’s all WORTH IT. She will be a FABULOUS FAY.
